Overview:
Featuring the iconic Urushi lacquer dial, showcasing traditional Japanese craftsmanship through 蒔絵 "Maki-E" a traditional Japanese technique which uses metal powders, giving the hands a frosted gold look.
The dial uses Urushi Lacquer harvested from the vernicifluum tree, giving it a glossy and deep/rich black colour.
History:
Released alongside other artisan dial Presage models around 2016, the SARX029 incorporates traditional Urushi lacquer, a centuries-old Japanese technique known for its rich depth and durability.
The dial is built up through multiple layers of lacquer, producing a glossy black finish that shifts subtly under light, offering a level of depth not found in standard painted dials.
Features a Power Reserve Indicator with a central date.
