Model: Seiko Brightz × Azabu Tailor SDGM007 (Limited Edition of 500)
Overview: The SDGM007 is one of the rarest and most distinctive watches from Seiko's short lived SDGM "Grand Cocktail" series. Created in collaboration with Japanese bespoke suitmaker Azabu Tailor, The watch features the classic cocktailtime style dial, but elevated with a highly polished case, cabochan crown and sapphire crystal with AR.
Limited to just 500 pieces, the SDGM007 was designed around the concept of TPO Time, Place and Occasion pairing Seiko's mechanical watchmaking with Azabu Tailor's approach to men's tailoring and style.
History: Released in November 2014, the SDGM007 was one of three limited-edition Brightz models created together with Azabu Tailor: the SDGM005 "Classic," SDGM007 "Stylish," and SDGM008 "Elegant." Each reference was individually limited to 500 pieces.
The SDGM007 represented the "Stylish" configuration and was distinguished by its deep navy blue dial. Azabu Tailor specifically considered how the watches would coordinate with clothing, even selecting different strap colors and materials around the concept.
Originally retailing for ¥120,000 before tax, the SDGM007 considered a luxury release in the Brightz line.
