Oris 7592 Rose Gold - Mechanical Moonphase
Model: Oris Mechanical Moonphase Ref. 7592 – Rose Gold-Tone
Overview:
Discontinued Oris Mechanical Moonphase Ref. 7592, a complicated automatic dress watch from an earlier generation of Oris production.
The watch combines a classical multi-complication layout with warm rose-gold-tone detailing, giving the 7592 a considerably more traditional appearance than most of Oris’ modern offerings. The dial incorporates a moonphase display at 12 o’clock alongside day, date and 24-hour indications, allowing Oris to fit an impressive amount of information into a relatively clean and balanced design.
Long discontinued, these earlier Oris mechanical complications represent an interesting period when the brand offered complicated Swiss mechanical watches at comparatively accessible price points.
History:
The Ref. 7592 belongs to Oris’ earlier generation of mechanical complication watches, with variants of the reference appearing during the 2000s.
Rather than relying on a simple date display, Oris equipped the watch with its multi-function automatic movement, providing a moonphase display together with day, date and 24-hour indications. The resulting four-register arrangement gives the watch a traditional complicated-watch aesthetic reminiscent of considerably more expensive Swiss calendar watches of the period.
The 7592 has since been discontinued, and its combination of classical proportions, mechanical moonphase complication and distinctly early-2000s Oris design makes it an increasingly uncommon model to encounter today.

Closing Note:
The Ref. 7592 comes from an interesting period in Oris history when the company produced surprisingly complicated mechanical watches while remaining positioned well below the traditional haute-horlogerie manufacturers.
Its moonphase is only one part of the attraction. The combination of moonphase, day, pointer date and 24-hour indications creates a genuinely complicated mechanical watch while maintaining the traditional symmetry expected from a dress piece.
The rose-gold-tone execution gives this particular version an especially warm and classical character, while its approximately 40mm proportions keep it substantially more wearable than many complicated watches produced during the same era.
Now long discontinued and increasingly uncommon on the secondary market, the Mechanical Moonphase Ref. 7592 represents a particularly distinctive example of Oris’ earlier complicated watchmaking.
