Model: Credor Kuon GCLX999 Hand Wound Spring Drive - Porcelain Dial “Eichi Lite”
Overview: The GCLX999 Kuon is one of Credor’s most compelling modern watches, combining a hand-wound Spring Drive movement, traditional Japanese porcelain dial and beautifully integrated bracelet within an elegant 39mm case.
Often thought of by collectors as an “Eichi Lite,” the GCLX999 offers some of the visual qualities associated with Credor’s considerably more expensive Eichi models most notably the warm white dial, heat-treated blue hands and restrained Japanese aesthetic while developing its own more contemporary identity.
The porcelain dial is coated with a glass-like glaze and fired at high temperature, naturally producing the subtle curvature and translucent warmth characteristic of the material. The dark-blue indexes are applied through traditional overglaze decoration, while the hands are tempered to achieve their distinctive deep blue finish.
History: Introduced in 2023, Kuon takes its name from the Japanese word "久遠", referring to an endless passage of time stretching from the distant past into the future. The collection was designed around this idea of a gentle, continuous flow of time, expressed through the fluid case profile, integrated bracelet and uninterrupted glide of Spring Drive.
The GCLX999 is powered by Credor’s dedicated Caliber 7R31, a manually wound Spring Drive movement employing a Dual-Spring Barrel with two mainsprings housed within a single barrel. This allows approximately 72 hours of power reserve while maintaining a relatively thin movement architecture.
