Model: Seiko SBCJ019 Alpinist (2004)
Overview:
The SBCJ019 offers full titanium construction paired with the highly functional 8F56 HAQ movement, delivering a balance of durability and precision.
History:
Released in 2004 as part of the SBCJ Alpinist series, the SBCJ019 is one of the more understated variants within the lineup.
Like other SSASS models, it features a full titanium case and bracelet, making it one of the few lightweight Alpinists produced since the line’s inception in the 1960s. It is also among the select models to carry the “Alpinist” text on the dial.
Movement (Perpetual Calendar Function):
Powered by the Seiko 8F56 GMT Perpetual Calendar movement.
The movement tracks the month, date, and leap years internally. By pulling out and pushing back the crown, the seconds hand indicates the number of years since the last leap year, while the date hand advances to display the current month.
