Model: Grand Seiko SBGJ241 Hi-Beat 36000 GMT (Asia Limited Edition of 700 Pieces)

Overview:
The Grand Seiko SBGJ241 is a limited-edition Hi-Beat GMT produced exclusively for the Asian market in a run of only 700 pieces.

The centerpiece of the watch is undoubtedly its dial. Featuring a rich vertical texture representing bamboo's, the surface reacts dramatically to changes in lighting and viewing angle, shifting not only in color but also in its perceived depth. At certain angles the pattern appears pronounced and deeply defined, while under softer lighting it becomes considerably more subtle, giving the SBGJ241 one of the more dynamic dials found within Grand Seiko’s mechanical GMT collection.

Closing Note:
The SBGJ241 brings together three qualities that make Grand Seiko limited editions particularly desirable: an exceptional dial, genuine mechanical interest and a relatively small production run.

Its vertically textured dial is especially impressive in person, with the pattern seemingly changing in both color and depth as the watch moves through different lighting conditions. Behind it sits the renowned 9S86, combining a 36,000 vph Hi-Beat movement with a practical true GMT complication.

Limited to only 700 examples and originally released exclusively for the Asian market, the SBGJ241 remains a distinctive and relatively elusive member of Grand Seiko’s Hi-Beat GMT family.
