Released in the early 2000s as a JDM limited “Millennium” model, the GCBK997 reflects a period where Credor experimented with more expressive and technically ambitious designs. • Date complication
  • Triple chronograph subdials

The 6S77 is part of Seiko’s landmark return to mechanical chronographs after more than two decades since the Seiko Speedtimer. It shares lineage with the 6S74 and is closely related to the 6S78, a movement later licensed by TAG Heuer as a base for their Carrera 1887 chronographs.

Dimensions:

40mm diameter
20mm lug width
13mm thickness

Design Details:

  • Carbon fiber dial with strong visual texture
  • Multi-layered layout with power reserve and chronograph displays
  • Sport-oriented case design with substantial wrist presence
  • Rare combination of complications not commonly seen in Seiko chronographs

Closing Note:

The GCBK997 represents a pivotal moment in Seiko’s modern chronograph history—combining technical innovation with bold design experimentation. As one of the more unique and ambitious Credor sports models, it remains an underappreciated piece, unlikely to be replicated in today’s more commercially driven lineup.
